Sprinted
and Rallied Mk2 1300 Cortina from 1973 to 1976 – RETIRED (Lack of time and money).
1992 brought Drat and destroyed engine at the first sprint – RETIRED
(Lack of money).
To avoid compulsory ARDS training I borrowed brother Andy’s
Mallock 11/14 and raced in 750MC F1300 at Snetterton in August
1992 and won the Driver of the Day award (it’s gone
down hill ever since!). Then competed in Drat until 1996
and achieved highest race position of 7th and sprint Class
win - RETIRED (Lack of time).
Returned to competition in 2002 in the Classic Clubmans Championship.
(and still here – just)

History |
Recycled
bits from earlier Centaur/Hudson. Built and raced by Chris
Cooper in 1980/81 as sister car to Chris Denham’s ‘Dris’.
Competed in 750MC’s Formula 1300 championship in the
hands of Mark (Bluebelle) Ferguson, John Drinkwater and Pete
Saunders before becoming my pride and joy and reverting to
its original name. |
